Franco and I planned this itinerary so that we could squeeze as much as we could and get the most out of the day. We strategically lined up key destinations according to where they were on the map of Bohol. We chose the activities we thought were a good mix of the usuals plus some other new things I had never done before like firefly watching!
If you’re looking for which sights to see, I suggest Googling everything there is to do on Bohol and picking 6-8 things that appeal to you the most. Then map them out so you can be practically about travel times. Bohol is quite small but there is a lot to do! With the help of Bellevue Bohol, who was gracious enough to arrange our private car, we were able to do everything we wanted in a day and a half, stress-free!
I hope these photos encourage you to explore the Philippines. This is not even a fraction of the tip of the iceberg of what our country has.

The gorgeous Hinagdanan cave. You pay a small fee at the entrance and a tour guide goes into the cave with you to give a brief history. I know my outfit sucks but I needed to wear jeans and sneakers that day. It’s slippery inside the cave!

There are rumours that the water is too toxic to swim in. But our tour guide said that these are false and anyone could jump in. It was tempting. The water is so clear, you could almost imagine a mermaid swimming up to say hello.

I’ve seen most famous churches in Bohol but the Albur church was one I had never heard of before. Since it was one the way, our driver suggested it. I love beautiful old churches but sometimes I wish they don’t repaint them anymore so we could see the real age and history behind them.

Frankita.

So gorgeous outside. Very different from the colouring book inside.

What they call the man-made forest. It’s a short strip of tall trees surrounding the road to get to the main tourist attractions.

The famous little bugger that dies when you take flash photography or hold it! Tarsiers are such mind-boggling creatures. There are many conservation sites in Bohol where you can just stare at them and wish you could take one home.

I could not resist. I like eating things I’ve never had before! Well, I have eaten a couple of insects in Thailand.

A trip to Bohol is incomplete without the chocolate hills.

I should be more like a blogger and put on a little make up next time.

This I loved! I was hesitant because I was lazy but Franco wanted to do it and it turned out to be such a great idea! ATV riding through the provincial side roads.

Dorky, right? I love it.

Next was Mag-aso falls. Totally swimmable. Just scary.

Nagtatampisaw.

Nearly impossible to take a photo of the thousands of fireflies fluttering about the trees. But we tried.

Ended the first day with a moonlight cruise.

We saved our last activity for a whole half day because we intended n eating as much as we could. Another crowd favorite – the Bohol Bee Farm. Where you can buy their house-made breads and snacks and of course, honey!

Some spreads and dips.

Organic personal care products.

The view from the restaurant.

Ahhhhh food! The bee farm is known for their organic restaurant.

As usual, we ordered enough food for 4 people.

I am obsessed with be anything ube! They make their own ice cream too. I couldn’t deal with the extra honey on top though. Too sweet! I took it off.

Festive restaurant.

Other things to do near the restaurant.

A little cutie watching people go by.

Inspired me to really start my own herb garden in Manila!

They have some talented weavers there.

Veggies!

Pretty chill creatures.

Have you heard that bees are going extinct? Not sure how true this is but sometimes I still feel bad taking the honey they work so hard for.

I wonder why people are so afraid of bees stinging? They didn’t seem to mind being held up and stared at.
